The following is the Mission Statement and Core Values of Semester at Sea.
Semester at Sea’s mission is to educate individuals for leadership, service, and success in shaping our
interdependent world. We are committed to providing profoundly transformative study abroad experiences that
emphasize global exchange and awareness. We will continue to make a positive world impact by developing

This summer the theme of the voyage is:
I will be taking 3 classes while on the ship. We take classes on the days when the boat is on the water and then have time on the port to ourselves. In total there are 23 days of class!
9:20-10:35 Global Studies
10:15-11:45 Introduction to Drawing I
12:15-1:30 Peoples of the Book: Judaism, Christianity and Islam
Its going to be the best experience of my life and I just can't wait!
My flights are booked and I'm ready to go.

Visualization of the Mediterranean: Politics, Conflicts, and the Arts
We will be departing from Halifax Nova Scotia on June 15, 2010 for a 66 day journey through the Mediterranean Basin.
Here is the itinerary:
- Halifax, Nova Scotia: Depart June 15
- Barcelona, Spain: June 24 - June 27
- Civitavecchia / Naples, Italy: June 29 - July 5
- Dubrovnik, Croatia: July 8 - July 11
- Piraeus (Athens), Greece: July 14 - July 18
- Istanbul, Turkey: July 20 - July 24
- Alexandria, Egypt: July 27 - July 31
- Casablanca, Morocco: August 7 - August 10
- Norfolk, VA USA: Arrive August 21
