Rats Rats Rats !!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday December 30, 2009 started off as any normal day plus having to drop the car off at the shop. My car has a broken sun visor so I needed to take it in, along with that, form some weird reason my windshield wiper fluid would not squirt on the front window so I asked them to look at that. It seemed like 2 really simple things to solve since I had order the part for the visor in advance and the wiper fluid system is really simple plastic tubing. The dealership ended up being really busy that day at the auto shop so they called and said the shop was about to close but the car was going to be finished before the men went home for the day. They said that a rat had gotten into my car and chewed through my windshield wiper fluid tubing. Such a gross idea, But they took care of the tubing and replaced it. So they locked my car in the garage for the night seeming all is well. The next morning my mom went to pick up my car and thought it would be best to test everything out before driving home. The visor was great, shiny and new, but when she tried to use the wiper fluid, it would work. So she asks them to look and they go back in and they had eaten the same tube. While they opened my engine area to do this, they saw two HUGE rats climbing in my car. They tried to chase them out but were unsuccessful.
My mom ended up having to drive my car home knowing that there were 2 rats in it. When she got home we opened the car, took EVERYTHING out and tried to get the rats out. We set traps and poison and all sorts of things. Then the car was taken to a different auto shop where they took apart all sorts of my car and found 2 huge nests. They did a through cleaning of my engine and did everything in their power to find them. In their opinion the rats were gone and everything was safe.
The following day I drove back to Santa Cruz thinking that everything was all good. Almost everything seemed normal, the heating/cooling system sounded a little weird, but the auto shop said that the cabin filter needed to be replaced but they couldn't get one that day. So back in Santa Cruz, I spent the evening driving around town and doing my chores.
Today, Saturday January 2, 2010 I went out to my car to get my iPod and I saw that things in my glove box had been chewed up. I knew that they there. They hadn't left. They followed me to Santa Cruz. I went to the drivers side door to see that they had eaten the entire block of poison that I had left for them. Now all I can do is hope that they will die and then I can get my car taken apart to get them out.
Well have to see what happens.......
